Public Meetings

Three public meetings will be conducted at key points throughout the Pine Bluff Arsenal CUS. The meetings may include a mix of presentations and open house style activities to provide information to attendees and obtain input on the project.  A summary of the three planned meetings is described below.

Meeting #1: Project Initiation

The first public meeting will introduce the community to the CUS planning process, the purpose and function of the CUS, and the value of participation; establish relationships with residents; and provide an overview of the military operations at Pine Bluff Arsenal. This meeting will begin with a presentation to the public, followed by an interactive working session where attendees will be invited and encouraged to give their input on compatibility issues. Attendees will be able to provide input through an interactive voting system that allows for immediate response viewing and tracking, and they may engage in small group discussions with the CUS team.

Meeting #2: Interim Findings and Preliminary Recommendations

The focus of the second meeting will be to present the compatibility issues and provide an opportunity for input on the community’s perspectives on such issues and on potential recommendations to address them. The meeting will include a presentation and an interactive exercise to prioritize the importance of the compatibility issues. The project consultant team will also facilitate small group discussions about how best to resolve community conflicts.

Meeting #3: Final Recommendations

The purpose of the third public meeting will be to present the Public Draft CUS documents and recommendations to attendees for public review and comment. The public in attendance will be encouraged to provide feedback during the meeting via comment cards, after the meeting through the project website, or by email to the White Hall CUS Project Manager.

As meeting dates and locations are set, information and meeting materials will be posted on this project website. As the project progresses, links to the agendas and materials from previous meetings will also be posted for easy access and follow-up review. All project materials will remain on the website for the duration of the project.
